May 1, 2026 — Connect Buffalo is now incorporated as a nonprofit organization.
This step formalizes how we operate: clear governance, responsible stewardship of funds, and a durable home for neighborhood connectivity work across Buffalo.
Why it matters
- Trust and accountability. Incorporation gives donors and partners a defined legal entity to support, with bylaws and structure appropriate to a nonprofit mission.
- Stability. We’re building long-term neighborhood infrastructure—not a one-off project—so laying this foundation matters for contracts, fundraising, and programs like Digital Navigators.
- Next steps. We’ll continue communicating milestones here: pilot preparation, partnerships, resident-facing services, and impact reporting.
Thank you for supporting public-benefit connectivity in Buffalo. If you’d like to invest in our work or explore a neighborhood partnership, use the Donate on Givebutter buttons in the site header and support sections, or reach us from the contact area on the home page.
