Public Site and Help Center Go Live

The Connect Buffalo website and unified Help Center are live—with resident hubs, partner resources, transparent giving, and support guides built for Buffalo neighborhoods.

Connect Buffalo

July 1, 2026 — Connect Buffalo's public website and Help Center are officially live at connectbuffalo.org. This is more than a redesign: it is the resident-facing home for our nonprofit mission—rollout progress, affordable access pathways, partner collaboration, and the transparency commitments we make to donors and institutions.

If you have been following us through incorporation and early program announcements, consider this the moment our digital front door matches the seriousness of the infrastructure we are building in Buffalo neighborhoods.

What went live

The site brings together pages that used to live in scattered drafts, PDFs, and email threads into one coherent experience:

  • Residents hub — Plain-language entry points for households: how rollout works, how to get connected, affordable access, and neighborhood notifications.
  • Support hub / Help Center — Searchable guides, FAQ sections, and downloadable resources—organized so residents and partners can self-serve before opening a ticket.
  • Partners — A public directory of community organizations, institutions, and collaborators in the Connect Buffalo ecosystem.
  • Transparency & giving — How we report outcomes, stewardship expectations for donors, and links to public benefit documentation.
  • Digital Navigators — Program overview, training modules, cohort information, and ways to apply or host training.
  • History — A verified timeline of organizational milestones—incorporation, program launches, and public commitments.
  • Updates — This page: rollout notes, milestone posts, and field reporting written for residents and institutional readers alike.

We also published hubs for government & institutions, events, careers, and impact so partners can find the right front door without hunting through navigation menus.

The Help Center: support that respects your time

The Help Center (our unified support hub at /support) replaces a patchwork of one-off FAQ pages and legacy URLs. It is structured around how people actually look for help:

  1. Guides — Step-by-step articles for common tasks: checking eligibility, understanding rollout phases, using neighborhood notifications, and more.
  2. FAQ — Short answers organized by topic, maintained through our admin CMS so content stays current as pilots evolve.
  3. Downloads — PDFs and resources for block clubs, schools, and partner staff who need printable materials.

Legacy paths like /faq and /resources forward into the Help Center so bookmarks and old links still work.

Our goal is not to bury residents in documentation—it is to offer clear, dignified self-service before someone has to send an email or wait on hold elsewhere.

Transparency and giving, on the same site

Donors and institutional partners told us they wanted one place to understand both the mission and the mechanics of support. The transparency section explains:

  • What we commit to report quarterly (infrastructure delivered, service themes, support workloads, operational learning).
  • What we withhold on purpose to protect resident privacy.
  • How philanthropic stewardship aligns with public narrative on this site.

Givebutter integration on key pages makes it straightforward to support the work without leaving the nonprofit context that defines Connect Buffalo.

Built for rollout—not a static brochure

This site is wired to our CMS and Supabase backend, which means:

  • Rollout neighborhoods, events, team profiles, and support articles can update without redeploying the entire site for every change.
  • Meeting minutes and history milestones publish through the same admin tools our staff already use.
  • Live stats and pilot-phase indicators on the homepage can reflect real operational data as it becomes available.

We would rather ship a site that grows with the pilots than pretend everything is finished on launch day.

Accessibility and trust signals

The public site includes:

  • Skip navigation, semantic headings, and mobile-first layouts tested across common devices.
  • Clear EIN (42-1990070) and nonprofit framing in footers and about content.
  • Privacy policy and contact paths that do not hide behind corporate contact forms.

We are a Buffalo nonprofit—not a venture-backed ISP—and the site is designed to read that way on every page.

Thank you—and what is next

Launching the site does not mean every neighborhood is connected tomorrow. It means we now have a durable public record of who we are, what we are building, and how to engage with us honestly.

Upcoming milestones—pilot activations, Navigator cohort graduations, quarterly transparency posts—will continue to appear here on Updates and on our History timeline as they are verified and announced.
