Website Overhaul and Redesign
We’ve rebuilt connectbuffalo.org with a clearer design, stronger resident pathways, and tools that keep rollout, support, and transparency up to date as the network grows.
Connect Buffalo
September 8, 2026 — Connect Buffalo’s public site at connectbuffalo.org has gone through a full overhaul and redesign.
When we launched the public site earlier this summer, the goal was a durable front door for residents, partners, and donors. This release goes further: clearer navigation, a more cohesive visual language across hubs, and backend tools so staff can publish accurate information without waiting on a full redeploy for every change.
What’s new for visitors
- Clearer pathways — Resident, partner, support, and transparency hubs read as one organization, not a stack of separate pages.
- Eligibility and planning tools — Address checks and the line-of-sight planner stay available when we want them public, and can be paused cleanly when they should not be.
- Network directory & status — Public listings and network status stay tied to what we actually operate and publish.
- Updates & history — Milestone posts and verified timeline entries remain the public record of what we announce—and when.
Built to stay current
The redesign is not only about how the site looks. It is also about how we maintain it:
- Content for updates, events, directory entries, support guides, and more can be edited through our admin CMS.
- Site-wide notices, maintenance windows, and form pauses give us responsible controls during launches and outages.
- Accessibility, mobile layouts, and nonprofit trust signals (including our EIN) remain part of the baseline—not an afterthought.
What has not changed
Connect Buffalo is still a Buffalo nonprofit building neighborhood connectivity with transparency and resident dignity at the center. A redesigned website does not mean every block is online tomorrow. It means the public record of who we are, how to engage, and what we are shipping is clearer and easier to keep honest.
